About Boatlife Phuket
Last updated 7 November 2026
Boatlife Phuket is a guide to the boat scene around Phuket, Phang Nga Bay and Krabi: the yachts and catamarans, the speedboats and longtails, the islands they visit, the seasons and what a private charter really involves. We write for travellers who want to know which boat suits their group, what things cost and what to check before they book.
What we cover
- Areas: Phuket and its nearby islands, Phang Nga Bay, Krabi, Phi Phi and the national parks further out.
- Boats: sailing and motor yachts, catamarans, speedboats and longtails, and how they differ on the water.
- Planning: costs and quotes, park fees and closures, the monsoon season, travelling with children and choosing an operator.
Who runs this site
Boatlife Phuket is run by the team behind Blue Andaman, a private yacht and catamaran charter service in Phuket. Many guides link to Blue Andaman, and where we use its boats or prices as examples we say so. Those mentions are about our own company and are not independent reviews. Read the disclosure for details.
How we write
- Practical first. Each guide is built around the decisions you actually make: which boat, which route, what to ask, what to pack.
- Sources for current facts. Park fees, closures, seasons and rules change. We link the official or news source we used and the date we checked it.
- No invented details. We do not make up prices, crossing times, availability, licences or guarantees. Where something depends on the boat or the day, we tell you what to confirm.
- No made-up experiences. We do not publish invented reviews, testimonials or customer photos.
- Human review before publication. Drafts may be prepared with the help of AI writing tools. Every article is checked against its sources and approved by a person before it goes live, and the approval is shown on the article.
